Cindy Crawford

Cynthia (Cindy) Ann Crawford was born on 20th February, 1966 in DeKalb, Illinois. Cindy is the second of three girls and four children. Cindy graduated Valedictorian of DeKalb High with a 4.0 avg. then went on to attend Northwestern University for one semester on a scholarship where she studied chemical engineering. She spent two summers of modeling, represented by Elite Model Management in Chicago, which led her to supermodel success in New York. She met Victor Skrebneski, the undisputed king of Chicago fashion photography, because of who her career took off. No overnight sensation, it was the clothing trade, that brought her to the rather lofty financial level as the highest paid, and probably the single most widely recognized supermodel. Cindy commuted between jobs in Chicago and New York but she didn't make a commitment to New York until she had a fall-out with Skrebneski on her 20th birthday.

Crawford became the first modern supermodel to pose nude for Playboy, which led an MTV executive to hire her for their new fashion program, House of Style. Her picture has graced the covers of over four hundred major international magazines. As the host of MTV's House of Style, satellites beam Cindy and her world of fashion to the farthest reaches of the globe. Has a three year $3 million contract with Revlon. Appeared in print ads for JH Collectibles and Capezio Bags, and also in a series of lingerie posters for Hennes & Mauritz in Europe.
